A SAFE HOUSE FOR ABUSED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN

People will come and go in life, but the person in the mirror will be there forever. So be good to yourself.

HISTORY – In 1999, Ms. Pat Martin and a group of women from five churches in Paarl conceived the idea of building a shelter to help abused women and children. In 2001 AHOS – Athlone House of Strength was registered as a non – profit organisation.

our vision

At AHOS we make women and their children feel that they belong to a family where they are loved and accepted by society and we strive towards the development of a well-balanced (emotional, moral, financial and intellectual) individual who will contribute to a healthy society.

We create a stable, caring and safe environment to abandoned, abused and neglected women and their children. We also work towards the reintegration of women and their children with their own families or caring families in the community and provide support to the abused women and their children.

our mission

DONATE TO AHOS AND HELP SUPPORT ABUSED WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN.

As a non-profit organisation we rely on donations to provide and care for abused women and their children while they are in our care.
